I’d like to thank everybody who worked hard at organizing very successful Marta Kubisova concert. Namely Treasurer Jana Samkova, who stepped in the final phases with an extra ordinary energy and dedication (Jano, the carpet and furniture looks really great, everybody loves it). Viktor, our maintenance manager,  made sure and worked really hard to make sure that all is done on time and provided most of the transportation with the help from Pavel Pavlovsky and Dr. Pavel Ort. Thank you guys; this is what I call volunteering. Speaking about volunteering, thanks to Milada Stastny, who again offered her help at the door and talked people to give donations to our schools. Thank you Bill Balasz for the same.

Last, but not the least, thank you James, our GM, who along with his staff (special thanks to Jana Zalohova, who paid a great amount of attention to the details about refreshments – and climbed a week’s worth gym workout on the Stepmaster on the steps) provided smooth change of set – up and made sure that all goes as planned.

And of course to all of you who attended the concert, it showed that we can and are able to do a lot more in Bohemian Hall that just provide a food and beer to our patrons.

Just a heads up Transit Transit filmed at the Beer Garden last month they will be showing it on Sunday 7 am on channel 25 NYClife, most cable and dish companies have the channel.

I know this is not the Oscars but I'd like to thank everybody who participated in organizing the Costume Ball.
First of all to Hana Kutil for coming up with the original idea and working with me all the way. And for the beautiful flower centerpieces.
To all CC members who did lobby for and supported this event.
To BOD and namely Petr Kutil for approving and funding.
To Jana Samkova who very efficiently took care of the accounting issues.
To Mary Seewald for bringing the calendars all the way from Prague.
To Mike Seewald for his last minute realization of possible problems with the service and helping to solve this issue.
To Derek Michalak for finding the wonderful musicians and to DJ Vlado for a great spinning.
To all who volunteered - Debbie Van Cura, Denise Pompl. Iva Svancarova, Marketa Dohnal, Susan Pavlovsky.
And of course, to all the staff, namely Katerina Vojarova, Lucy Reynolds and Ryan Blumstein. To the kitchen staff for a great job preparing the food and to all the service staff, who did a great job waiting on us and setting up the Hall.
And to all of you who showed up and helped making it a huge success.
If I forgot about somebody, my sincere apologies, but there were simply too many of you.

I would like to thank all the members who came last night to the Costume Ball to show their support. Looked like everybody was enjoying themselves, I hope you had a great time. I know I did!
Thank you Debbie, Denise, Iva, Marketa for volunteering. Thank you Frank, Jana and Bill for being on the jury, you certainly picked out the best costumes. And thank you all of you who put your hearts into the costumes, I think we all looked great!
And thank you all the staff who worked very hard and did a great job.
